Eric  5/13/05  Railhead, Las Vegas

It should be no surprise to anyone who knows DrT that his favorite band is Blue Oyster Cult.
He has been a devoted fan of many years. He considers his writing style to be similar.

Recently DrT has been in touch with Eric Bloom, (lead vocalist, front man) and Donald "Buck Dharma" Roeser, (lead guitarist, vocalist) two of the original founders of the band.

Eric has been listening to the first and soon to come second album by SkinnerRat and has offered constructive feedback.
DrT also sent Eric a few T-shirts.

Mr. Bloom honored DrT by wearing the shirt

CORONER

STOP BY FOR A COLD ONE

on multiple dates on the 2003 West Coast Tour.

The two met up after a show at the Railhead in Las Vegas this last February.

"What can I say . . . I'm speechless!!"

"To see one of my rock and roll heroes on stage wearing the shirt I sent . . . I'm honored! "I've enjoyed many bands over the years, but BOC still floats to the top. The creativity, imagery, persona, and pure talent of this band stands alone. Buck Dharma is the last of the great guitar players. Few players can put you into the "alpha state" like this guy.

The two new guys, Miranda and Rodinelli have rejuvinated the power house that has always been this band. Now they rock better than ever. Alan Lanier, a founding father rocks on. And of course ERIC BLOOM continues to front the band with that diabolical, leather-guilded, sardonic persona molded over so many years of great concerts around the world."
