In the 70's Brownsville was HOT. Performed on the national TV show IN CONCERT multiple times.
They had many albums, and a changing lineup. The late Cub Coda was always at the front of the band.
Former member Mike Lutz went on to perform with and produce Ted Nugent.

Donny Hartman
(formerly of the Michigan Band FROST)

Don, Dick Wagner, Bobby Rigg and Gordy Garris made up the vary successful FROST. They released 3 albums with a smash hit it France . . . Rock and Roll Music. All of this happened when I was a kid in the mid to late 60s. They played all the big Michigan Festivals at the time and used to tear up the Grande Ballroom in Detroit. I missed a wonderful time in music history. I had the privilege of playing in Donny's Band in '80 and '81.

Also performed with Bobby and Dick Wagner for the first time. Dick had just left Cooper's band at the time, but still writing with him. Playing in Don's band gave me instant hero status in the small town of Alpena Michigan where Don was royalty. So was Bobby, who owned his own bar and had his own band at the time. Don continues to do what he does best (beside fishing) and has released his latest CD . . . "Black Hole." Check it out at his site: thedonnyhartmanband.com.
